We say: Labradorite tumblestones look fairly grey but have many colours that reflect from below the surface. Each tumblestone reflects in a different way and from different areas. It does not reflect all over as say a stone like golden tiger's eye probably would. They are very unusual and interesting to look at.

Labradorite (9) - Protective, spiritual purpose
Labradorite has a slight iridescence on the surface, which occasionally flames in patches of peacock blue and light copper. This luminescence reminds us of distant worlds and galaxies, and so links us to the stars and reminds us that everything that happens in life has a reason. Labradorite helps give form to our intuition, so can be useful to writers and teachers who are expressing ideas in verbal form. It helps us to enjoy the good times, because nothing lasts forever, and to take hope when times are hard, because it is only a matter of time before things take a turn for the better again.

I got this stone with a few others a couple of months ago. This is a very special stone, a unique combination of turqoise/green reflections on a mystical dark setting... you have to take Time and Light to penetrate Labradorite! It feels very special to hold it. One feels the uniqueness of the Self represented in this amazing crystal. I recommend it to anyone with a great sense of individuality.

When I recieved this stone, I thought someone had put a pebble in by mistake as it was really ugly and plain but had a really nice feel to it. As I was putting it with the other stones in my collection it caught the light, that's when you see just how beautiful this little stone is. If you hold it to the light you see the most fantastic colouring of blues, greens, purples. Don't be put off by your first look, take some time with it to appreciate it, its worth it.
