But shamanism is not just limited to the Native American tradition. Shamanism shows complete respect for the world around us including plants, animals, people, the earth and all life. Most shamanic traditions see all life as having consciousness. Some people describe the shamanic way of being as having one foot in this world and the other in the spirit world. Healing and ceremonies are also often a core part of this way of life.
