We say: Carnelian can vary in appearance, some stones with some banding (attractive lines) while others are a more consistent orangey red. But also the basic colour can vary slightly. If you have a certain shade or type in mind please make a note on a payment page at the bottom under 'Anything else to tell us' and we will do our best to oblige. Otherwise we will pick you the one we are most drawn to at the time - no problem.

I went for this stone because of it's deep rich orange colour. My particular stone has some banding, which I think adds to its character. It is a lovely stone & if it appeals to you then go for it!
