They say: Created by the artist Sylvia Gainsford with the help of eight 'witches' and representatives of the traditional Wicca Path.
78 Tarot cards designed with psychic insights using modern approach to the magical Old Path, and an inspiring interpretation of how to stimulate and utilize inner intuitive forces.
We say: Knights, Lords, Ladies, witches, common people all make appearances in this deck that has a medieval feel. I think for those who are attracted to the Wiccan path it is one of the leading decks. There isn't always much detail in the background of the minor arcana cards which I would say is a slight weakness compared to the major arcana cards, which are embellished with more detail.
This deck is not connected with Satanism or black magic. It wishes to present a deck that can be used for good by those who have an interest in witchcraft, Wicca and nature-based religions. Some of the words have been changed ('Cups' becomes 'Cauldrons') but the basic flavour of the tarot is still very much intact.

Reviews - rated 5/5 based on customer reviews4 out of 5 By Cate GardnerConceived by a coven of dedicated Pagans, this is a vivid and wonderfully 'enthusiastic' deck. The artistry on both Major and Minor Arcana is richly executed and steeped in symbolism with the additional use of flowers and their language. The background of the cards is white, which seems to lend a purity to the intensely colourful illustrations. Some decks can be quite downbeat, but not these - they always seem to show the querent a way around a troublesome situation. They have continued to be a favourite deck of mine since they first became available.
View Profile5 out of 5 By BeeWitch, Derbyshire DalesThese are beautifully illustrated cards. I felt comfortable with them as soon as they were in my hands. There is a warmth and depth that is lacking, in my opinion anyway, in the Rider Waite and the Crystal tarot decks, so shall be "resting" them. The earth connection is evident and I am very happy about that. I know I shall enjoy working with them. An inspired purchase I think!
5 out of 5 By Susie G, EastbourneThe Tarot ot the old path is a magical deck indeed.I have had many decks and never liked all the cards,or they have had the wrong feel about them. These cards are so different. The artwork is gently vibrant, the open space at the top of each card creates an openess, giving your own intuition a chance to come into play. I find them easy and flowing. The size of the cards are perfect for ladies, and really this is an incredibly female deck. It is so refreshing to have the devil card replaced with temptation, as in paganism, the devil does not exist, and is somewhat a christian construct. I would recommend these cards for anyone who is into earth religion. The use of colour and detail in the artwork is unusual and beautiful. This deck will work best with feminine intuition, they feel amazing. The backs are just as stunning with their twining honeysuckle design. It's taken me 17 years to find the deck that is for me and I feel that now I have found it in this outstanding tarot deck. The little white book is informative and simple, but I think its best to connect with the cards and see what they mean for you first. Congatulations to Silvia & Howard and the 8 witches who helped create such a profound tarot.
5 out of 5 By HuredrielI am a complete beginner to Tarot and this is my only deck (at the moment!!). I have to say I find these cards to be absolutely wonderful and made a connection to them the first time I saw them. I also believe they are helping my intuition grow and love the way they can give advice in a positive manner. I also have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who considering getting them, especially beginners who feel they are drawn to this deck.
