Doreen Virtue has produced oracle cards before. I was impressed with How to Give An Angel Card Reading but that was outdone by the beauty of Daily Guidance from Your Angels deck, with its astonishing gold-edged cards. Now this deck is something different again. It bears the same name as the book and CD but the material is totally different. These are not concerned with the usual angels and archangels mentioned in previous works. Here we have angels with names such as Aurora, Merlina, Opal and Serephina. Each card bears the name of an angel, a picture of the angel (and Virtue uses the usual high standard illustrators), and a short statement that serves as an answer to a personal question one may have. There is a more detailed statement in the accompanying book. There is no explanation, surprisingly, of who the angels are, although I suppose the type of answer given gives some indication of the angels’ role. The spreads are easy, although just picking a card at random can have a purpose. I have tried a couple of spreads and they were, indeed, of value to me.
If you want a beautiful card deck that is simple to use, that gives direct and positive advice, then I would suggest this deck. If you have become accustomed to working with a different deck that does not matter, this deck can complement others, especially, of course, were you to use another of Virtue’s own decks. I love her other decks, but this one I found a little more practical. It is first class.

So here we have the sequel to the best selling Healing with the Angels cards. The first deck used singular words on each card such as 'Support, Serenity, Blessings' etc. and then expanded further upon these themes within the booklet that accompanied them.

The Messages from your Angels deck is different in that instead of an emotive single word we now have the name of one of the angels. Below each picture there is a sentence giving you the message this angel is sending you in answer to your question. You can then be happy with that or look up further information in the booklet that accompanies the deck. In the booklet a couple of paragraphs are devoted to explaining more about each card. The size of these cards is exactly the same as Healing with the Angels and the quality of the card used is still extremely thick. The most noticeable aspects of these cards are the gorgeous colours and images that are used. They won't give the reader too much to worry about in terms of giving advice that is negative. The phrases that are given are generally very positive such as:

ISIAH: 'It's a good time to give birth to new ideas and situations in your life. I am watching over you, guiding you, and protecting you during these changes.'

Some of the answers the cards give are very specific with their advice such as SONYA: 'I bring you a message from your deceased loved one: 'I am happy, at peace, and I love you very much. Please don't worry about me.'

This is where it shows that Doreen Virtue is indeed responding to questions people most commonly ask. This for many will be welcome as they seek specific answers. As a Tarot......more

I love these cards, they never fail to give accurate readings. Today I took them to show a new friend and she very briefly held the cards - as I wasn't expecting to give a reading, just show her them. I got a very strong urge to pick out a card for her, and it was the marriage card - she is currently debating whether or not to leave her husband, but has not yet had the strength to move out. She was fascinated and amazed at the accuracy of this so chose 2 further herself.....both as meaningfull as the first. These cards are truly amazing!

These for me are a fantastic set of cards. I find them to be accurate and I connect well, especially considering I am not a believer in God but in Angel guidance, they're wonderful. I also mix these with healing with angels cards, also by Doreen Virtue. The readings I give for others or myself prove to accurate and helpful.
