More About the Symbol of the Triskele
The triskele, or triskelion as it's also known, has links with both Celtic and ancient Greek traditions.

The three spirals of the Celtic tri sceal (where three spirals come out from a central point) represent birth, death and rebirth and the eternal circle of life. Also these three aspects are sometimes seen as representing the nature, human and divine aspects of life and also the sacred aspects of the triple goddess - maiden, mother and wise woman. According to Greek myths, however, (triskelion means 'three-leg' in Greek) it was the Celts who adopted the symbol from them. In ancient Greece it was associated with progress and competition, and was often used on coins.

The emblem is still used today in the Scilly Isles and the Isle of Man.

More About Peter Stone Jewellery
The Peter Stone Company purchases raw silver and produces their own true .925 sterling silver alloy in their own factory. All rings are cast to size and craftsmen cut and inlay each stone for a perfect fit. Every piece of jewellery created is hand polished not tumble polished, which leads to a high quality finish that is noticeably different.

Peter Stone

Peter Koslowski had been working on merchant ships since 1983 while living in Sri Lanka and was fortunate to be exposed to an abundance of precious stones and he began to purchase and trade them, as well as silver. During this period he also studied gemology and jewellery making in a number of countries. This then lead to the founding of the Peter Stone Company in 1992 in Bangkok, Thailand, where he still resides.

    Very cute triskele

Posted by Robert C on 9th Jan 2010

Very cute little triskele. I first ordered it to use as a pendant along the little pentacle pendant on the same chain but I think I will be ordering the larger versions of both and using these little ones to attach to some ribbion and using as a bookmark in my book of shadows. Would be lovely to put on a cats collar but unfortunatly my cat is wild and would not take too kindly to me putting a collar on her and squealing at the cuteness
