The Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen (pronounced hanh-shah-zay-show-nen) symbol is often referred to in reiki as the “distance symbol” as it is used during the practice of sending healing over distance or even time (ie into the future or past). One of the most common translations is “The God (the Buddha) in me Greets the God in you to promote enlightenment and peace.” Although another suggested translation is "the human being and the spirit are one". It is held by many to be one of the most fundamental symbols in reiki as it transcends the illusion of separation and teaches that all is connected regardless of any perceived boundary to healing trauma or previous lives. Wearing this symbol is a constant reminder that all is one and all is love.
Reiki is a gentle energetic, spiritual healing therapy. “Rei” means “unseen” or “spiritual” and “Ki” means “energy” or “life force”. This is often translated as “Universal Life Energy”. The system was developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th century after three weeks of fasting and meditating on Mount Kurama. Energy flows through the hands to the “patient” or recipient in such a way that the givers energy is not depleted. The therapist keys into the universal energy, not necessarily their own individual energy. This universal energy is seen as intelligent and will heal the patient’s energy field without exact diagnosis. Treatment can be used on people, on yourself, pets and distance healing. The system often uses “attunement” where people are attuned so that they may also give this type of healing. Often symbols are used to help key into certain aspects of this healing art.
More About Peter Stone Jewellery
The Peter Stone Company purchases raw silver and produces their own true .925 sterling silver alloy in their own factory. All rings are cast to size and craftsmen cut and inlay each stone for a perfect fit. Every piece of jewellery created is hand polished not tumble polished, which leads to a high quality finish that is noticeably different.
Peter Koslowski had been working on merchant ships since 1983 while living in Sri Lanka and was fortunate to be exposed to an abundance of precious stones and he began to purchase and trade them, as well as silver. During this period he also studied gemology and jewellery making in a number of countries. This then lead to the founding of the Peter Stone Company in 1992 in Bangkok, Thailand, where he still resides.
