Brian L. Weiss, M.D., the best-selling author of Many Lives, Many Masters and several other books, is a psychiatrist who lives in Miami, Florida, where he maintains a private practice. In addition, Dr. Weiss conducts national and international seminars and experiential workshops as well as training programs for professionals.

This is the simplest of simple books. A very little book of 100 pages in a sort of coffee table format it is something that can be read easily by anyone in a very short space of time. It is a book with just one simple idea and it presents itself very effectively. The book is very attractive. There are no clear white pages as there is so much decoration. There are numerous pictures and the layout is very simple. There is little material on each page and the substance of the book is dealt with in a brief and straightforward manner. The benefit of this book is the accompanying CD, the text of which makes up the final chapter of the book. The CD is a stress-reducing meditation given by the author in his calm and soothing voice.

This book is useful for those who endure stress in their lives yet do not want to wade through a heavy textbook. This book can be read quickly and can be read by anybody. It is of use to those who do suffer from stress-related problems, as well as those who wish simply to understand the issue but want a basic introduction.

Anything by Brian Weiss is always worth reading and I can recommend this book to those who do not have the time or will to read anything substantial. It may be brief but it is direct and authoritative.
