Manufacturer: Peter Stone Jewellery

A wonderfully polished piece, bringing in the animal energy of the hare (see the description below). The loop through which your chain will pass through is hidden at the back of the pendant, just behind the head.

More About the Symbol of the Hare
The hare has a strong symbolic association with the moon, fertility and the idea of rebirth and regeneration. According to the ancients, the patches seen from earth on the surface of the moon looked like leaping hares. The moon hare association was linked to many belief systems, including that of Native Americans, Celtic, African, Greek and Egyptian, who used the iconic hare to represent the lunar and feminine cycles of regeneration.

In Imperial China, the hare was seen as being a symbol of good fortune and in the classical and Celtic belief systems, hares were linked to hunter goddesses, such as Aphrodite, Eros and Hermes.

Today the hare is still a commonly used symbol of spring and you sometimes hear the expression, Mad March Hare, which originates from the slightly erratic spring behaviour of hares in the wild.

More About Peter Stone Jewellery
The Peter Stone Company purchases raw silver and produces their own true .925 sterling silver alloy in their own factory. All rings are cast to size and craftsmen cut and inlay each stone for a perfect fit. Every piece of jewellery created is hand polished not tumble polished, which leads to a high quality finish that is noticeably different.

Peter Stone

Peter Koslowski had been working on merchant ships since 1983 while living in Sri Lanka and was fortunate to be exposed to an abundance of precious stones and he began to purchase and trade them, as well as silver. During this period he also studied gemology and jewellery making in a number of countries. This then lead to the founding of the Peter Stone Company in 1992 in Bangkok, Thailand, where he still resides.
