The Lotus Flower is commonly recognized as a symbol of achieving enlightenment, peacefulness and spirituality.
These candle holders can be fitted with tea-light candles - the diameter of the middle 'holder' is roughly 4.5cm so it will fit any candle with the same diameter.
Each of the holders are in lovely vibrant chakra colours including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet which makes a lovely rainbow colour all together. These each have a golden coloured based and gold edging along each of the lotus petals. When a candle is lit in the middle, the petals emit a soft glow of light.
The light is softer compared to electric lighting which can help to clear your mind and would compliment meditation, yoga or chakra re-alignment (although they still look lovely even without a candle lit inside). They are very light to hold and due to their size they are ideal to place anywhere around or the home such as on the mantelpiece or as a centerpiece. Even individually they could make lovely gifts due to the assortment of colours.
These are hand made in the Philippines. The petals are made from natural Capiz shell, a type of Oyster (also known as the 'Windowpane Oyster) that can be found abundantly in the coastal waters of the Philippines and near India. To clean the holders, you can just wipe it with a damp cloth.

The Lotus Flower
They say the Lotus Flower is a symbol that represents transformation, mainly from darkness to light but it can also be from innocence into insight and wisdom, among other things. This is said to be derived from the fact that the roots of the lotus grows in the dark dirt below, whilst the flower is turned towards the light.
The colours of the tea-light holders may vary very slightly from the colours on your screen due to monitor colour restrictions. Each piece is unique and the colour will vary slightly with each one.
Size of Tea-Light Holder: Diameter is approximately 7.5cm (4.5cm for the middle holder) and each weighs approximately 10 grams. They weigh roughly 150 grams together. These are individually wrapped to help protect the shell, and the set is packed in bubble wrap.

Solar plexus (Yellow)
When our chakras are healthy and glowing strongly we feel good. If we have good intention we may draw situations to us that help us to change and help our chakras to find or remain in balance.

- Rebirth, faith, beauty
The lotus flower is held sacred in many traditions as a symbol of rebirth, growing up from the mud towards the light where it opens up and blossoms. Each morning the flower opens. At night it sinks underwater again.
The lotus flower is central to one of the Egyptian creation stories where the lotus flower gave birth to the sun. A lotus flower emerged from the great darkness. From within the lotus flower came the divine child Re, the sun. The petals opened and Re cast his brilliant light.
Thus it can be seen that wearing or having near you a symbol of the lotus flower is a symbol of rebirth and faith in the beauty and perfection of creation. The symbol can be used during times when you wish to encourage new life and miraculous new growth in your life.
