About the Author
Nicola McIntosh was born in New Zealand and has lived in Australia most of her life. Celtic blood runs through her veins, having a family lineage from predominantly Scotland, as well as England and Ireland. Having travelled there she understood she was tied to the land, tied to the history, a part of the energies that still reside there. Practicing Celtic shamanism brought it all together for her, and through this work, Nicola has been able to connect with the energies to bring through the Celtic messages from the Otherworlds.

She resides on Tamborine Mountain.

About the Cards

card 1card 2card 3

CERRIDWEN - TRANSFORMATION | KNOWLEDGE | MAGICK
Cerridwen is known as a shapeshifting underworld goddess. She is said to stir her cauldron making her herbal, magickal brews. Legend tells of Gwion, a boy left in charge to stir the cauldron’s potion, who accidentally splashed it. He sucked the three drops off his thumb and from this potion he was bestowed knowledge, magick and the goddesses shapeshifting skills. Just as the story on shapeshifting goes, so too is it important to shapeshift or be adaptable to every different situation. What in your life can you apply this to? Where do you need to adapt or adopt a different way of being? Look at each situation

BLODEUWEDD - WISDOM | POWER | TRANSFORMATION
The owl known as Blodeuwedd (pronounced Bluh-die-weth), meaning ‘Flower Face’ (or the ancient word for the owl) is surrounded from left to right by: oak pollen, broom flower, meadowsweet flower. The oak is a symbol of life, strength and stability. Broom is associated with the heart and sweeping away what is no longer needed. Meadowsweet was highly prized by the Celts and used at weddings and burials. There is no hiding from an owl. It seeks out the truth and seldom misses what it goes after. What must you leave behind to claim your strength and wisdom? In the end, only you can choose your path.

How to Use the Cards
Elemental energy can be very subtle, so I recommend making sure you take some time-out to use them when you won’t be disturbed. Turn off your phone, turn off your Wi-Fi if you can and get as close to nature as possible. Sit next to a pot plant if you don’t have a garden. Give the cards your full attention. Be present, be mindful, be silent. Connecting to nature will help you greatly when working with the cards, and by doing this, you will also start to align yourself with the energy when you are not with your cards.
