Archangel Raphael is a loving and kind archangel who focuses on healing, both of mind, body and spirit for humans and animals. The fragrance for this incense was actually quite unexpected! When it was unburnt it had a subtle rose-like smell, and so I imaged it to be similar to some of our other Archangel Incense in this range which had a delicate and 'cotton fresh' aroma. Whilst this was still a delicate incense, when burnt it was spicy, peppery and had a bit more 'kick' to it. The main fragrance that stood out was reminiscent of cinnamon.
Archangel Raphael is associated with cleansing, restoring wholeness and restoring better levels of energy. I feel this incense reflects these aspects, it was alerting, awakening and enlivening.
As many of our incense from Sage Spirit, there is very little smoke when they are burnt, you might think would decrease the strength of the aroma, but instead I've found if anything this accentuates the natural fragrance and there's less of the 'generic' smoky smell you can get with some other incenses.
