  • Burn Time Per Stick is Approximately 30 Minutes
  • Each Stick is Roughly 12cm in Length

How to Use: Light the tip of the incense stick until it flames. Once the tip is glowing, carefully blow out the flame. Fix into appropriate holder on a heat resistant surface.

More About Nippon Kodo Incense
The Japanese incense company, Nippon Kodo, was founded over four centuries ago and originally began by producing high quality incense for the Emperor of Japan. The company has continued to thrive ever since, now accounting for more than 50% of the entire incense industry in Japan. The company have a great philosophy about the importance of celebrating incense and recognise that, although many people simply love the ability of incense to fragrance a room, for others, their use comes down to spiritual and religious traditions. In fact, Nippon Kodo say that, through the production of their traditional Japanese incense they aim to, ‘cherish the ancient traditions and values’. The ingredients of Nippon Kodo incense are all high quality and are sourced from around the world. Experts help locate and harvest the rare aromatic woods, natural gums, resins and other ingredients used to make their incense. Once acquired, the ingredients are processed by hand, and by machine, in their eight factories in Japan and Hong Kong.

More About Japanese Incense
Japanese incense (speaking in general terms) is refined, pure, light smoke and rich in natural ingredients such as sandalwood. They don't usually have the thin wooden stick centre that is often found in Indian and other incense sticks. They are normally pure incense right the way through the stick. They are often designed with meditation in mind. Due to the high quality manufacturing processes the incense goes through they can be a little bit more expensive than other incense on the market.

Staff Review by Brett Almond

I am partial to the odd cup of Green Tea. But as an incense, I wasn’t really sure what to expect! As, surprising as you might find it, I have never actually removed the green tea leaves from the tea bags and set fire to them! :) So let me have a look now after a stick has been burning for a couple of minutes...

Oh, wow, quite potent on first smell. Rich, and oh my Goodess, it is really reminiscent of the smell of green tea after it has been brewed. Ie not the burning of the actual green tea leaves, but the smell of the actual boiled tea. That’s actual quite clever, and I am a little impressed! I never really thought I would want to burn a Green Tea Incense stick but it’s actually quite pleasant. A little bit sweet, fresh, while being quite mellow in other ways, while retaining a tang of, well, green tea! Who’d have thought it?

    The smell is just right

Posted by Stephanie on 30th Apr 2015

I love them! The incense smoke really smells like green tea! The smell is just right, very noticeable but not overpowering. Warm and refreshing. After the incense finishes the room still smell nice. Also like that the amount of smoke is little, I'm one of those people who can't stand smoke but I can leave it burning in a small room and feel lovely. Try it!
