Origin & History
Native to South Africa, geranium is currently cultivated in Egyptian, China and Reunion and has been used throughout the centuries as a skin care remedy. Throughout the centuries it has been grown in window boxes, tubs and around homes as a method to keep evil spirits at bay. In native Africa, it is said that geranium herb teas are drunk to aid stomach upsets and stop internal bleeding. To this day, geranium is widely used within perfumery, particularly to 'imitate' the scent of many fragrances particularly that of rose oil, which is much dearer.
Geranium is one of the few oils that mixes well in almost any combination, for best use, you could try blending it with similar citrus oils such as bergamot, lime, citronella, grapefruit, orange, neroli and petitgrain. Delectable when mixed with Rose!
How to Store Your Oils: Essential oils can be quite delicate substances and factors such as strong light, heat, air and moisture can affect them. They are best kept in a cool, dark and dry place ideally in a box and in a cupboard. We wouldn't recommend transferring your essential oils into plastic bottles as the plastic can interact with the chemical makeup of your essential oils and may cause the plastic to deteriorate. Keeping them in their dark, amber bottle with the lid will prolong their life. Oils that are stored in the correct condition should last for years (citrus oils have a slightly shorter life).
Size: 10ml, presented in an amber glass bottle.
