Angel Cards do not conform to any one particular system so therefore the number of cards in a deck can vary. Most have pictures and some, like the Angels of Light cards do not. Angel cards give angelic wisdom and help give more clarity and input into our lives. The "Original Angel Cards" are the cards that are thought to have given popularity to angel cards back in 1978 with the start of the Transformation Game at the Findhorn Community in Scotland. Since that time there have been many angel card decks produced. Some of the most popular are by Doreen Virtue, Diana Cooper and also the Original Angel Cards.

By Emma, Wrexham View ProfileI've enjoyed using Doreen Virtue's Messages from the Angels and Healing with the Angels card set, but these have quickly become my favourite, the colours are so beautiful and vibrant.
This set is based upon the 15 Archangels from Jewish, Cabalistic, Christian and Islamic texts and beliefs. There are 3 cards per Archangel. The little booklet included in the boxed set gives some information about the general meanings of each card in the pack, as well as the Archangels role in assisting us with our endeavours.
The book also tells us the aura colours of the Archangels and the associated crystal which is aligned with each Archangels vibration. I feel that the use of crystals is a great way to amplify our connection with them. I found that these associations are quite accurate as something I have been drawn to recently ties in exactly with the card, the Archangel and the crystal that I'm very attracted to. And I keep pulling out the same card! The method that Doreen suggests to imbue your energies with the new cards spoke to me quite loudly and is a method that I would use in the future for other new cards.
The set itself is a pleasant tool even if only to familiarise yourself with the Archangels if you so wish. Using the method of picking a card a day can be used to support, deepen and pursue our faith and serves as a good self-development tool too. For readings, I found it easy to open up to the cards without referring to the booklet. I think this set would make a lovely gift for anyone interested in the angels.
