By Anne Marie Welch View ProfileA beautiful book for children to have. It is nice to be able to introduce children to Angels in this easy way and show the help that they offer. It contains colourful illustrations. I love Doreen Virtue and have books and angel cards of hers that I use on a daily basis. It is suitable for both boys and girls and I read it to my 4 years old granddaughter to make her understand. It illustrates all the problems little ones may face at home, with friends and at school, telling us how angels are always around us in all sorts of guises to help and protect. I have not come across any other book like this and it is a great idea from Doreen.

Written especially with children in mind, it offers an informative insight into what angels are, the way they help people, how they can be called upon and the why it’s important to say thank you to the angels for their help.
The first pages discuss the stereotypical way of viewing angels as watching over the world from the top of a fluffy cloud, and then the rest of the book moves on to show how angels spend a lot of their time all over the world, helping people. The illustrations are excellent all the way through the book and the depictions as angels dressed in worldly clothes, yet with wings, makes them appear more accessible to children.
There are great descriptions of the ways in which angels can help and good information to help children learn how to call upon angels, from thinking their plea for help, to writing it down in a note. The book also covers the all important issue of how angels talk to children, or send signs to let you know they’re close by, like rainbows or white feathers.
At the back of the book there are two extra pages with more information about angels. In the form of 10 extra notes, some of them re-emphasise some of the key points in the book, whilst others provide additional information about particular archangels who could help with certain issues. For example, Archangel Raphael is described as being good to call upon if you’re sick or Archangel Michael if you need protection.
