This is made with Organic sugar cane alcohol, 100% natural fragrance and steam distilled essential oils.

    About the Backcountry Range
This is an everyday line produced by Juniper Ridge (California). The formulations are a simple, fresh and affordable hit of the outdoors.

The aromatic oils are harvested and extracted by them, they only use organic ingredients for the rest (vegetable oils, alcohol etc) and no petrochemicals. Over the years they have formed connections with State and National Parks as well as the US Forest Service. They learned that there are certain plants than can be sustainably harvested, indefinitely.

Cascade Forest is made with true firs from the Northwest. They work with a local family to harvest true firs on their timber land in the Pacific Northwest. Sustainable harvesting is easier there, they harvest around the bottoms of the trees which means these tall trees keep on growing.

    Dictionary Terms Explained

    Juniper Ridge - Sustainable
Juniper Ridge started as a company at a farmers market at Berkeley, California in 1998. And everything they make comes from the mountains or the deserts of western USA.

Juniper Ridge are obsessed with natural aromatics and also obsessed with the preservation of the wilderness. All of their aromatics and herbs come from the wild and are always sustainably and responsibly harvested. They donate 10% of their profits to defending western wildernesses.

They never kill the plants they harvest. They instead prune larger shrubs and trees that respond well to pruning. They often revist the same plants as previous years to check up on them.

For the sages they always trim the clusters at the green stem, above the woody section. Harvesting this way means two or three new clusters will appear the next year where you harvested one.
