I like this book, it is easy to read, contains lovely images. The author tells us that we are not alone, but have spirit guides among us ready to offer their encouragement, protection, and blessings. Find the right one to lead us to happiness, with this inspirational book. It displays practical rituals and exercises to sharpen our psychic abilities, along with tips on crystals, oils, and meditations that facilitate contact with these helpers. Each one offers its own special gifts and messages: angels may heal, fairies offer a possible glimpse of the Otherworld, power animals convey strength, and ancestors bring knowledge and serenity. We are shown how to contact our spirit guides, grow with them, and bring these beneficial forces into our daily life. It is an all round book and is very helpful if you are new to the spiritual world to decide what suits you best.

I suppose you could call this publication a coffee table book. It is glossy, it is full of colourful pictures, some of them taking up a whole page, and the written material is broken down into easily readable chunks in different colour segments. This book deals with all kinds of spirit guides, such as angels, fairies, power animals and previously incarnated spirits. Each chapter gives an introduction to the chosen type of guide, and a fair amount of detail is given. The chapter on angels, for example, details the different spheres and levels of angels, with some examples without overloading the reader with the hundreds of names that can be accessed elsewhere. There are then practical items such as preparing for rituals, how to visualise or hold a ritual, making cards, crosses and altars and so on, and how to make contact. There is also an interesting chapter towards the end on channelling that I found particularly useful. Should you wish to make a start at making contact with spirit guides then this book is a very good introduction. It is also helpful to refer back to from time to time to be reacquainted with some basic techniques. It is not a difficult read, the text and the lovely illustrations being easy on the eye and, with only 128 pages, can be read very quickly. It is not as sophisticated as works by Diana Cooper and Doreen Virtue, for example, but nonetheless a very......more
