They say: Journey through the majestic scenery of the unspoilt wilderness, following the timeless spirit of the wolf-pack as they roam their lands, their freedom unchallenged. Llewellyn's inspirational composition re-awakens the joyous splendour of the wolf, and this album is indeed a tribute to his spirit. Pan-pipes, ethnic flute, percussion, rainsticks, piano, string and harp-sounds are used to great effect, while Llewellyn draws his energies from purple healing-plates, water and unique plant extracts.

Llewellyn is a top selling and popular New Age artist and musician who has produced a wide variety of relaxing, meditative and uplifting albums over the years.
Much of Llewellyn’s work draws inspiration from his own interests, such as spirituality, healing, Celtic folklore and druids, and these influences shine through in the titles and musical content of his wide ranging albums. He composed many of the hugely popular Mind, Body and Soul Series (New World Music) that are designed especially for use with complementary therapies, such as reiki, aromatherapy, healing massage and Indian head massage.
Many of Llewellyn’s albums have received acclaim and in 2001, Journey to the Temple was voted the Favourite New Release Album in the UK and Shiatsu was voted the Favourite New Release Album in the US.
When not composing music, Llewellyn is a Crystal and Reiki Healer and studies Druid and Celtic Lore. He’s also a keen film producer and has produced several DVDs for New World Music.
His partner, Juliana, is also a musician and Llewellyn wrote and produced her well known album, Woman Wisdom. Together they perform music across the UK and often make guest appearances on albums by other well known New Age artists.
- Inner power, wild, instinctive
Wolves howl at the moon. Howling can be seen as finding our own true inner voice, a voice that is untamed by what society thinks. It is a voice that is entirely natural. Wolf is actually quite a feminine symbol. It symbolises a wild, instinctive and passionate nature that is natural. Stories are common in the past of some lone wolves almost magically outwitting hunters. Some of these wolves even became known by specific names because of their notoriety.
Wolves are not naturally aggressive although they can be if called upon. Wolf is about knowing your inner power in such a sure way that you do not need to demonstrate it. It is much like a black belt in karate not needing to go around beating people up, because they know they have a skill and strength that is hidden and ready to be used if called upon.
Wolves are both family orientated and can be individualistic also just as humans can. Wolves communicate widely within a pack. They have different facial expressions, postures, tail positions and noises that keep the pack together and in order. There is an alpha male and female in each pack but each wolf within the pack has different responsibilities. The wolf is a social animal and different female wolves will aid in the bringing up of the young. If a mother can no longer care for its pup another mother will adopt it. Also wolves will baby-sit for others pups.
To wear or have near you the symbol of wolf is to howl your deeper nature into existence. As humans we become so conditioned by what society and other people expect of us we can lose touch with our wild nature that wants to be let lose. Wolf helps us connect to this our inner power. The moon represents this deeper hidden side and the howling is the call to bring this part of us forward.

Reviews - rated 5/5 based on customer reviews4 out of 5 By Brett AlmondThe album to me evokes a feeling of mountainous freedom, and creates the images in my head of the wolf tracking through the different seasons in a free unspoilt landscape. I wasn't sure if this album had succeeded on first impact but on second listening I must say I do really like it. There are occasional wolf howls in the far distance of the music, but not many.
View Profile5 out of 5 By Nicola, LincolnI love this cd. I never intended to try meditating with it, but often find I just do. It wonderfully uplifting & relaxing at the same time. My favourite cd.
5 out of 5 By Leanne, YorkAbsolutely fantastic - definately my favourite of his CDs. There is something within the music on this CD that is mesmerising and calming yet invigorating. I've even taken it into my class of 7-8 year olds and got them hooked on listening to it - the imaginative thoughts/language it has provoked within them is encouraging their appreciation of music and focusing them on detail within descriptions. Two tracks in particular ('Hunter and the Hunted' and 'Winter Caves') have brought out some very interesting discussions as well as them enjoying adding their own wolf 'howls' when listening. So although I originally bought it for my own pleasure, it has proved a fantastic teaching tool as well. :o) I would highly recommend this CD!!
4 out of 5 By AnonRecently I ordered Andean Spirit and Spirit of the Wolf CDs along with 3 others and was amazed at the speed in which they arrived. This was my first order with Holistic shop and have been very pleased with the quality of these CDs and their condition when they arrived. As a therapist I use relaxing music a lot both personally and professionally and what I liked in particular about these 2 CDs was that they were different in tempo and style than most other similar types. I felt relaxed but also very much alive having listened to them. There was no sound of eagles or wolves and I enjoyed allowing my imagination run riot so that I was in control of my journey and yet was being guided by the music.
