CD: Spirit of the Wolf by Llewellyn

The album to me evokes a feeling of mountainous freedom, and creates the images in my head of the wolf tracking through the different seasons in a free unspoilt landscape. I wasn't sure if this album had succeeded on first impact but on second listening I must say I do really like it. There are occasional wolf howls in the far distance of the music, but not many.

Absolutely fantastic - definately my favourite of his CDs. There is something within the music on this CD that is mesmerising and calming yet invigorating. I've even taken it into my class of 7-8 year olds and got them hooked on listening to it - the imaginative thoughts/language it has provoked within them is encouraging their appreciation of music and focusing them on detail within descriptions. Two tracks in particular ('Hunter and the Hunted' and 'Winter Caves') have brought out some very interesting discussions as well as them enjoying adding their own wolf 'howls' when listening. So although I originally bought it for my own pleasure, it has proved a fantastic teaching tool as well. :o) I would highly recommend this CD!!

Recently I ordered Andean Spirit and Spirit of the Wolf CDs along with 3 others and was amazed at the speed in which they arrived. This was my first order with Holistic shop and have been very pleased with the quality of these CDs and their condition when they arrived. As a therapist I use relaxing music a lot both personally and professionally and what I liked in particular about these 2 CDs was that they were different in tempo and style than most other similar types. I felt relaxed but also very much alive having listened to them. There was no sound of eagles or wolves and I enjoyed allowing my imagination run riot so that I was in control of my journey and yet was being guided by the music.
