In the snowflake obsidian we do get some variety! The background (the black) is always pretty much the same - black that is!. But the snowflakes can vary in size from very big or quite small. They can cover a great deal of the surface or can be more spaced out. One kind is not particularly better than another, it is simply what you are drawn to. Do you want big flakes, small flakes, lots or not lots, just let us know on the payment page (where you put in your card details) and write in the 'anything else to tell us' section and we will do our best to oblige if at all possible. Or we will just send you what we feel most drawn to when we pick them up.
As this is a natural product your crystal sphere will be unique and may differ slightly in pattern and design from the examples shown above. But if you feel that the one you receive is not for you you can exchange for another of the same kind or crystal or of course return for a refund, no problem.
Spheres are great for placing on mantelpieces, places of work, by the bed or wherever you feel drawn to place them. A clear plastic stand the same or similar to that in the photo will be included with your order with our complements.

The energy of obsidian is protective, guarding and secure, reminding us to protect ourselves against the harsh words or actions of others or from the stresses and strains of life. It may promote deep soul healing and also help connect with past lives. Snowflake obsidian has inclusions of a white mineral (phenocryst) which give the impression of snowflakes when polished. These snowflakes can be seen to represent aspects of your life on the backdrop of the great black void from which we are all said to have come. This symbolism can help us to see our life more clearly so we can change what we don't like and keep what we do. Calming and soothing.
