What a great little book this is! It is, as the title suggests, about power, but it is about real power, the power within the real self. It is not about the ego but the real person that derives strength and energy from one’s own etheric body. The book deals with how this power is built up by avoiding leaning on others and finding resources to live in the world from within oneself. The book is full of Taoist wisdom but presented in a simple and easily understood manner. The chapter on “Silent Talking” was an illumination for me, the wisdom of keeping your own personal story to yourself and being alive to subtle feelings. The final advice in the later chapters is wonderful – the practicalities of fasting, meditating, and being silent. If this advice were followed by more people there would be a newer and happier atmosphere around us. It is all a matter of tapping into that hidden but present power that we all have but which we tend to ignore or squander. If the techniques in this little book do work for you then there is a CD attached with further techniques to master.
This is of fewer than a hundred pages. There are few words in each chapter. The strength of the wisdom, however, is apparent. It is a book for reading through regularly as it can all be read in a very short time. I love the book and I love the CD. The wisdom therein is of practical use to anyone who wants to live a more fulfilled and peaceful life. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
