DVD: The Science of Miracles by Gregg Braden
Gregg Braden (3) - Visionary author of books where science meets spirituality
Gregg Braden is an internationally renowned author, scientist and visionary who has successfully bridged the gap between science and spirituality.
Gregg started off life working as a computer geologist for Phillips Petroleum and worked during the 1970s energy crisis. During the last year of the Cold War he became a senior computer systems designer for Martin Marietta Defence Systems. In 1991 he became the first technical operations manager for Cisco Systems and played an important role in the development of the global support team that has helped the reliability of the Internet as we know it today.
In addition to this scientific work, Greg Braden has spent over 22 years visiting mountain villages, some of the world’s most remote monastries and researched forgotten ancient texts to try and discover their secrets.

His research into all of this has resulted in a number of highly acclaimed and bestselling books, including The Divine Matrix, The Isaiah Effect, The God Code and The Spontaneous Healing of Belief: Shattering the Paradigm of False Limits. His books have worldwide appeal, having been published in over 27 countries and translated into 17 languages.
At the heart of Gregg Braden’s work is his belief that the key to our future lies within the wisdom of the past.

By Vernon Marshall View ProfileAll those who are familiar with the work of Gregg Braden will know what to expect from this DVD. Along with other writers of the genre of what I would define as a modern view of pantheism, Braden presents us with something that is very optimistic and life enhancing. Braden focuses on the all-permeating energy field that gives us enormous powers to live as creators. We can change our DNA code as we wish, says Braden, and defeat the negatives in our lives such as disease and war. Perhaps this view is common these days but Braden asserts it with such authority and by clear and convincing illustrations. It is a powerful message and a very challenging one. It certainly needs to be heard and tested.
My own problem with the DVD is the technical issue of the production of the CD itself. It is an hour of one man talking to camera, or should I say talking to a point just to the side of the camera. It is difficult to pay attention all the time. In a book the material can be divided and subdivided with headings and side notes for clarity. With a DVD we have to create them for ourselves. If a DVD such as this is made then lessons can be learned from, for example, The Secret, or the superb film The Shift. A DVD needs movement and colour and change. Having said that, this DVD, despite the drawbacks of the production, is a very worthy enterprise. It could be used individually, or for discussion groups, or for the focus of teaching, worship or general interest talks. For some of us, there just is not enough of this kind of thing. Thank goodness for such as Gregg Braden.
