This set of 3 CDs is sublime. If you want to stop the world for a while and find some inner peace, then this set can do it for you. The natural sounds are ideal for something on which to focus in meditation. The CDs, however, are very different. Not only are the natural sounds quite different, obviously, but the musical interludes are totally different in style and approach. In Summer Sounds and in Ocean Sounds the natural sounds are quite well into the foreground. The music comes along as a sort of addition to the ambience already created. In Rainforest Reverie, however, the pipe music is the sole focus. It is not so much a collection of real forest sounds. This CD is a musical evocation of the forest. It is gentle, it is sweet, and it is nuanced. Whilst listening to it I could imagine quite strongly the subtle toing and froing of animal and insect life. This is good background music but it is also good reflective music to calm oneself from the hubbub of the day. I loved all three CDs but they are very distinctive each in their own way. They have become very much used in my collection of spiritual and healing aids. I can recommend listening to all three of them.
