Back of book says: In this powerful book, Byron Katie talks about the most essential issues that face us all - love, sex and relationships; health, sickness and death; parents and children; work and money; and self-realization. The profound, light-hearted wisdom embodied within is not theatrical; it is absolutely authentic.

Not only will this book help you on many specific issues, but it will point you toward your own wisdom and will encourage you to question your own mind, using the four simple yet incredibly powerful questions of Katie's process of self-inquiry, called 'The Work'. Katie is a living example of the clear, all-embracing love that is our true identity. Because she has thoroughly questioned her own mind, her words shine with the joy of understanding.

Byron Katie (2) -
Byron Katie has been travelling around the world for many years teaching "The Work" directly to thousands of people. She is the author of Loving What Is and A Thousand Names for Joy.

This book of just over 200 pages of brief ideas, thoughts and bits of wisdom on various different subjects is a superb collection of truths about life, the universe and, cliché though it may be, everything. Each offering in itself is full of so much depth that it could produce vast discussion or teaching. I prefer the very short pieces, such as the first offering on the chapter dealing with love, sex and relationships, “nothing outside you can ever give you what you’re looking for.” Another one on health, sickness and death has touched me deeply and given me much on which to ponder: “Nothing was ever born but a dream. Nothing ever dies but a dream.” Yet another, this time on parenting and children, “I don’t have relationships with my children anymore. I have intimacy instead.”
Byron Katie has an ability to get right to the heart of the matter in just a few words. This little book is full of such exquisite offerings. It covers a broad range of subjects and illustrates the wisdom of someone who has quite clearly walked the walk as well as talking the talk. She has spoken to my condition and I am sure she has spoken to many in the same way. I love this book and I can commend it to anyone who wishes to live a more peaceful but useful existence.

This book is not very large and contains 212 pages. It is made up of 5 chapters on questions and quotations regarding Love & Relationships, on Health, Sickness & Death, on Parents & Children, on Work & Money and on Self-realisation. Some quotes are just made up of a few lines and some contains two paragraphs. Katie has some very good wise and sharp replies. We are encouraged to think and start changing the world. One of the quote she uses is “When I walk into a room I know that everyone in it loves me. I just don’t expect them to realize it yet”. I found this book quite deep and suitable for a “thinker”.
