A strong and extremely refreshing aroma, pine oil has a classic forest fragrance that is typical of pine resin.

Although pine is generally used more for the respiratory and muscular system, it can still be beneficial when you are feeling emotionally weak or fatigued. The stimulating properties of the oil can refresh the mind, promoting feelings of positive well-being, aiding with loss of concentration and can be cleansing for depression.

Most popularly, due to its antiseptic and disinfecting properties, pine is a very valuable aid for the treatment of most respiratory disorders including colds, sore throats, catarrh, ashthma, the flu, clearing the sinuses and easing breathlessness. It can also be beneficial against hay fever. Physically, it can aid in relieving sore muscles, rheumatic pain, muscular stiffness and may additionally help speed the healing of cuts and wounds. Pine is known to be useful within skin-care, particularly with cases of skin irritation and eczema.

Within other uses, because of its incredible purifying properties pine makes a great air freshener that can be added to your household cleaning for a fresh pine scent.

Origin & History
Pine trees are native to West Asia, Scandinavia, the mountainous regions of Europe and the former USSR. Pine has been used throughout history and in many ancient civilizations of Greece, Egypt and Greece for its medicinal properties and within religious ceremonies. The tree exhales its essential oil into its surrounding environment; for treatment it is thought that those with lung and respiratory problems would travel to areas that had abundant pine growth and inhale the atmosphere to relieve said problems. To this day, the scent of pine is most commonly associated with cleaning products or disinfectants; its powerful antiseptic properties makes it very beneficial within this area. It is also used widely within the pharmaceutical industry, veterinary medicine and is used for its fresh smell and deodorizing qualities within soap and bath products.

Blending Suggestions
Pine blends well with most other oils, particularly with others that are also in the same family. You should try mixing with oils such as cypress, cedarwood, fir, spruce, thuja and juniper. Also try it with cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus, lavender, myrtle, niaouli, rosemary, thyme, and tea tree.

How to Store Your Oils: Essential oils can be quite delicate substances and factors such as strong light, heat, air and moisture can affect them. They are best kept in a cool, dark and dry place ideally in a box and in a cupboard. We wouldn't recommend transferring your essential oils into plastic bottles as the plastic can interact with the chemical makeup of your essential oils and may cause the plastic to deteriorate. Keeping them in their dark, amber bottle with the lid will prolong their life. Oils that are stored in the correct condition should last for years (citrus oils have a slightly shorter life).

Size: 10ml, presented in an amber glass bottle.
