I think she is the finest New Age singer of our time. There is an ethereal quality to her voice that cannot be defined. It just needs to be experienced. There is definitely something otherworldly about Juliana’s voice. What I like about this CD is that she does not overuse her voice. It is as if she wants to complement the music rather than the music being merely her accompaniment. This CD, it must be noted, is not just about Juliana. Llewellyn is the master musician here. He has proved himself time and again that he is a superb creator of mood music. The combination of Llewellyn and Juliana is a perfect mix. Listening to it I can drift into all kinds of imaginary places in my head. The music takes me along and then, when Juliana’s voice appears, I am simply overwhelmed by the beauty of the piece. This CD is accompanied by some lovely pictures and some simple words of explanation of the concepts of the composition: earth, air, fire and water. It is a superb piece of work. There are clearly defined melodies but, overall, the blends and the mix of sounds takes one into a gentle and relaxed state of being. I listen to this CD, not only when I need to release stress, but also because it is simply a great piece of music. Anybody can enjoy this CD and anyone who hears it will feel the same as I do. I love it!
