Archangel Raphael (7) - Healing, releasing, safe travel
Archangel Raphael is a loving and kind archangel who focuses on healing, both of mind, body and spirit for humans and animals. If you feel in need of healing, then call upon Archangel Raphael to help you in your time of need – you may even get to see flashes or sparks of green light when he responds to your call. You can also ask for Archangel Raphael to help aid other people’s healing, although he can only help if their free will allows.
Archangel Raphael often works alongside Archangel Michael, working on issues of spirit cleansing and exorcism. Together they can restore wholeness, disband bad entities and restore better levels of energy around individuals or groups.
In Christianity, Raphael has become known as the patron centre of travellers and travelling. He notably guided Tobias on a journey and helped him get home to cure his father’s blindness. Call on Archangel Raphael when you want to help promote safe travel and ensure journeys go well and without a hitch. Some people also associate him with matchmaking, as Raphael also helped Tobias when he was seeking a wife.
The names of all the archangels finish with the letters, "el", which mean, "in God."

Doreen Virtue includes many stories about interactions, healings, life altering moments with many people and she includes the various ways and expectations of communicating with the Archangel. This book gives hope and paths to healing and choices in life. It also contains some effective prayers. Each archangel helps in different ways and from reading this book if we need help with physical health, wellness and travel, we can call on Archangel Raphael. I had some Reiki healing and was told that St Raphael was in the room giving healing too and felt a cold draft around me. It is difficult to believe for so many of us who can't see but this book is very good and inspiring.

With fewer than 200 pages and in just eleven chapters, Doreen Virtue deals effectively with a subject I have never before read about in book form. Archangel Raphael is the supreme angelic being responsible for the healing of people and animals. Although not always mentioned by name in ancient sacred writings, Archangel Raphael has a long history in various religious traditions. The book deals with all kinds of ailments, from the obvious medical problems to issues such as anxiety, travel delays, diets and addictions and exercise. Each chapter is supported by examples and stories of successful requests for help. There are practical issues in the book, such as how to formulate what you wish to ask for and how to create appropriate prayers. Each chapter begins with a prayer and at the end of the book there is a list of prayers for specific ailments. There is throughout a sensitivity to different traditions, and the need to include one’s own focus of spirituality is continually stressed.
This book is a practical manual. There is a certain amount of theory and explanation, but, really, it is a book that is meant to be used. It is intended for anyone who feels a need for healing at some time in their life, and who doesn’t? I am once again impressed by Doreen Virtue’s ability to come up with something new and something where there is a need. I have learned a great deal from reading the book and I now have yet more material for enhancing my life.
