This CD is meant to serve two purposes. Firstly, it is a discussion on the angels and spirit guides and what is the purpose of encountering them. He covers a huge amount of material including, for example, the workings of the chakras and their effect upon the physical and mental bodies. He discusses how to encounter angels and spirit guides and how to use their help in healing our own chakras. The second CD is a whole collection of visualisations and meditations. The CDs are very wordy. You will need plenty of time to go through the material and listening to it all at one sitting is perhaps not a good idea. The material varies a good deal. For some of us it will be necessary to sit through much that we already know in order to reach the more specific sections on encountering the other beings. It would have been more helpful to have had separate tracks with titles of what is to be covered in them so the listener to jump to what it is they wish to focus on rather than wading through it all at once. Having said that, the material is good, solid and useful information. To work systematically through it all will enable one really to connect to those healing energies that can be applied either to oneself or to others. For healers who have had little knowledge of angels and spirit guides this CD set will be really useful as a practical working aide. For those who wish to heal themselves this CD set has all the techniques in there if one has the patience and the will to do the work.

This CD set could appeal to both beginners who would like to understand the angels and their spirit guides further plus those who are already connected to their guides and want to deepen the connection further or gain other perspectives. I run a Spirit Guide workshop, and I will be recommending this set, as what John Edwards talks about is similar to my experiences and understandings. He explains what angel and spirit guides are, including thoughts about loved ones who have passed over, and how they all work with us. Not only does he provide meditations to meet our guides but also information about the process of meditating. He talks about achieving ‘nothingness’ and in that way this CD could appeal to someone who is interested in the process of meditating as he explains about mind noise, kundalini, pranic breathing and releasing negativity we hold onto as well as discussing his own experiences. His tone of voice is quite clipped; heart-centred and grounded and there is realness to his words.
The meditations include focusing on the breath, meeting our guides with exercises to ask questions, then another to help us to work at deeper levels. The CD helped me to deepen my own connection with existing guides and to make a new connection. I liked that it also includes working with totem animal guides too. An interesting, informative, well recommended CD set.
