Simple ideas, simple symbols, an ease in spreading the deck. These are qualities I value in decks of cards and this deck has them all. The artwork is colourful but is not over the top. There is pictorialisation but the basic idea is not lost through complex imagery. There is no spread recommended here except a simple shuffling of cards in a simple manner, and the picking up of the top card. There are 44 different cards with different spells for all occasions including, for example, Joy, Courage, Safe Home Protection and Mermaid Magic Seduction. The accompanying booklet has some useful guidance with details of the meanings of the cards and a spell for each one, a spell that is easy to do with words to recite that are easy to remember.
Any deck of cards is judged by how well it is useable in practice. This deck, however, is just so simple. It can be used by beginners or by seasoned magic practitioners alike. As well as the cards themselves, the booklet is also a great source of information. There is a list of the magical meanings for each day of the week, a list of the magical powers of certain essential oils and herbs, the magical meanings of colours and a section on the magical properties of the different phases of the moon.
This is an excellent little book of tools for those serious about spell work. A well designed deck like this deserves to be noticed.
