Dimensions: Sizing is pretty consistent with the dimension from the back of the head to the tip of the jaw being about 2 inches (5 cm).

This crystal skull is hand carved, so although quality is consistent you may notice very subtle differences between the photo and your skull. The crystal is jet with sometimes traces of iron pyrite.

"I like these crystal skulls as they "look right" to me. Over the years I have seen so many skulls that I passed up stocking because they just don't look right. The carving quality is high and the polish of the crystal very smooth although because of the nature of jet, you will sometimes see minor thread lines on the surface caused by the natural stone. This is a feature of jet.

Also I like that this skull is in jet, as this isn't so commonly used for carvings. You will notice it is real jet as when you pick up the skull it may feel a little bit lighter than you expect." - Brett
