Simonette Vaja B.A.; M.A.; Post grad. Dip. Clinical Hypnosis; M.A.Ps.S. Simonette is a highly qualified, broadly experienced and respected in her field as a psychologist and clinical hypnotherapist; a member of the Australian Psychological Society and lecturer at Nature Care College of Sydney Australia.
Simonette is the founder of the Wild at Heart facilitator for life courses, an empowerment and creative expression group conducted regularly in the community and is an international presenter and facilitator on the topics of spirituality, meditation, creativity and group-play. This CD has two parts to it. The first part is a guided meditation. As such it is backed by very beautiful and peaceful music characterised by Indian instruments together with a woman’s lovely singing voice. Simonette Vaja’s guided words over the top are not intrusive. On the contrary, her hypnotherapeutic experience is evident here by her gentle and hypnotic words. I have to confess to finding it difficult not to sleep through it. She has a lovely and appropriate use of words and an empathy in her voice that is clearly engaging. The content itself is very strong. The language seeks to bring out one’s natural strengths and confidence. For me it has worked.
The second part of the CD is a relaxing half hour of tamboura harmonies; sweet and peaceful melodies induce calmness and builds upon what the earlier material has encouraged. It is ideal for reducing stress and anxiety, and especially for those who suffer from sleep problems.
I am fairly new to the work of Simonette Vaja and I confess to being a fan. I am now using her material for my own work in stress therapy and for my own self-improvement. She is one of the best in the business and she should be better known.
