They say: Set free your imagination and allow the sound of authentic panpipes from the ancient land of the Andes to carry you away in the warm breeze that is Heavens Breath. Allow the soft soothing tones to relax and revitalize the Mind, Body and Soul.

We say: As they say, these are authentic panpipes, meaning they are recorded live and not synthesised in any way. So you get that airy, deep South American atmosphere. The backing instruments to the pipes are mainly guitars as well as the use of some choral sound and sometimes lapping waves. This is restful panpipe music, not the up-tempo tracks that you may have heard. It is accomplished and good to listen to, especially if you like panpipes.

By Vernon Marshall View Profile
For lovers of pan pipes this CD will be experienced as a treat. Pan pipes are dominant throughout, though supported with other sounds. There is always a distinct Andean feel to the melodies, but the smoothness of the tunes is very relaxing. The water person that I am meant that I appreciated the sounds of the sea, a very “unAndean” experience. I always believe that a good CD is justified by its usage. It is true that, although I have played this CD several times, I cannot replay in my head any of the tunes from it. The other truth, however, is that I felt very refreshed after hearing it. It is very useful for coming down after a stressful day or for getting oneself into the right frame of mind for a period of meditation. Sometimes the CD forms a sort of background, where the mind seems more or less unaware of its existence. That is not a bad thing. The mind can be assisted to wind down without the apparent awareness of what is happening. Maybe I am trying to be too analytical. The CD just contains lovely, relaxing and peaceful pieces of music. Such music at all times is life enhancing. Midori has that skill to take us to another plane and this CD is a genuine “other place” experience.
