According to this book, research has shown that our physical and mental well-being is affected by where we live according to the positioning of ley lines - or earth energies. If these energies are negative, (known as geopathic stress or black streams) it can be quite hazardous to health, causing depression, lack of energy, illness and other associated problems. The book also describes other conditions, which can affect our health, such as electrical/magnetic pollution and 'presences' within the home. The authors, a husband and wife team, explain how to use dowsing as a detector and diagnostic tool to improve any negative energy lines. There are several case histories mentioned in the book and each one notes huge improvements when Roy & Ann Procter have distance-dowsed and healed their houses.

I found this book very 'readable' in delivery, tone and content. The information given concerning the detrimental effects negative ley lines can have on a household is also very believable and there is a good resource section at the back of the book I was inspired by the book to have a go at dowsing and found the reactions to my copper rods, quite amazing. The authors offer a postal 'house healing service', which I decided to try, by sending of a sketched floor plan of my house. They dowse for negative energies and subsequently heal the affected areas. The response was quick and my home was said to have 4 negative (draining) energy lines in it, which they have purported to have changed to positive (beneficial). So I await to see what the long term effects may be.......
