CD: A Guided Meditation by Glenn Harrold
Glenn Harrold (5) -
Glenn Harrold is musician, author and clinical hypnotherapist with over 15 years of one to one experience with clients. He is a full diplomat of the British School of Clinical Hypnosis, who are the only hypnotherapy organisation affiliated with the training of NHS health professionals.
He started producing his first hypnosis tapes in late 1990 to help his clients. He used to drive round the local stores delivering them on a sale or return basis. His skills as an accomplished musician and with his extensive recording knowledge have enabled him to produce recordings that are unique and of very high quality. The popularity of his CDs have grown at a phenomenal rate and they have now become the best selling hypnotherapy CDs in the UK (and have been for many years) and have sold over 600,000 copies. His CD “Complete Relaxation” has been the number 1 in the self-help audio chart every year for the last 7 years and in 2006 was awarded a gold disc for sales of over £250,000. These days Glenn gets a lot of media and celebrity attention due to his very considerable success.

By Vernon Marshall View ProfileI have quite a number of CDs on meditation so I was intrigued in approaching this one as to whether I would discover anything new. Basically, the manner in which it is presented is perhaps not new, but I was impressed by Glenn Harrold’s guidance. He does have a reassuring and gentle voice and the background music is the most background-like that I have ever experienced on this type of CD. I always judge anything by its practical usage so I have tested this CD. It really did work for me. I was able to relax and, in fact, I reached a very deep state of relaxation. If there is a criticism, slight though it may be, it is maybe that the voice is so soft and gentle that it is difficult to stay awake. There is nothing complicated in these two meditations. Sometimes CDs such as this can be too elaborate. The mind needs gentle stimulation and cannot cope with too large a mental picture. This is not the case with this CD. The suggestions are basic and gentle. Anyone can make use of this CD and I can advise that anyone who needs to slow down their lives, which is all of us, can profit from Glenn Harrold’s expert guidance.
