Flower Palewa Oil Burner
A grey coloured palewa soapstone oil burner, with a beautiful inlaid mother of pearl flower design on the front at either side. For use with burning wax melts, or when using essential oils (when dropped onto water inside the bowl).
This would make a lovely ornament in any room, as a centerpiece or on the mantelpiece. The dish at the top is removable and can simply lift off, which makes it easier for cleaning and means the 'lower half' can be used as a candle holder. The burner itself is weighty and sturdy, and because it has a smaller 'bowl' compared to some of our other burners that we stock; it would be best used with essential oils or smaller wax melts.
Using Essential Oils
To use essential oils with your burner, you would usually place some water in the top bowl, then light a tea-light candle beneath and tip a few drops of your chosen essential oil into the water in the bowl. As the water slowly heats, the fragrance from the oil will gently release into the room. Please note - You should never put essential oils directly into the bowl without water as this will cause overheating and can burn the oils.
Be cautious when lighting a candle in the burner, or when placing a lit tea-light inside. Use a mixture of oil and water if burning essential oils, set the burner on a heat resistant surface. Once lit, do not leave unattended and do not move whilst alight. Never allow the oils or melts to boil dry, as the burner may get hot during use, so allow to cool for several minutes before touching. Keep out of the reach of children.
Size of Oil Burner
Diameter of inner bowl at the widest point is approximately 9.2cm (3.6"), width of the oil burner itself (at the widest point) is roughly 7cm (4"), and the height of burner (including the bowl) is 12cm (4.5"). This oil burner is fairly sturdy, and weighs approximately 770g (without packaging).
