Pack information: A traditional fortune-teller's cup and saucer plus illustrated book of interpretations
Author: Jane Lyle
They say: Learn the ancient art of reading tea leaves - or coffee grounds - with this beautifully designed cup and saucer, based on an original Edwardian design. Reading the leaves is a fun and easy way of making predictions for you, your friends and family.
The 96-page book illustrates and explains the meaning of over 200 symbols, so you can build up a full picture of the coming weeks. If you see a horse, for example, you may need all your strength and patience in the next few-days. An ivy leaf shows that you need endurance and faith now, but you will win the support of your friends. A heart near the rim of the cup means that love is not far away, while a cake may signify a celebration or a party. Why not turn the kettle on now and start your first reading?
Jane Lyle learned the traditional art of reading tea leaves from her grandmother. Use her 'Cup of Destiny' to develop your intuition and imagination, and amuse and entertain your friends.

Reviews - rated 5/5 based on customer reviews5 out of 5 By Julie NormanThe Cup of Destiny would make a lovely gift for anyone fascinated by tea leaf reading, divination or anything mystical or holistic. It is very reasonably priced for what you get - it’s all you need to get started in a beautiful presentation box.
The Cup and Saucer are gorgeous and make a welcome addition to any kitchen. The markings are clean and clear but also have a look of mystery and magic. Be warned though you’ll be fighting over who gets to use it! I found finding the tea leaves to be the hardest part of using this set, I had to wander into several different shops before I could track down loose tea.
It is wonderful to gaze into the cup with the tea laid out before you in some weird and wonderful patterns and splodges. I should think that it would take some time to learn the art of tea leaf reading to a good extent, it has been very interesting so far and I will definitely keep practicing and drinking tea. When I’ve been reading with others around we’ve had some debates over what is shown within the tea leaves.
The little information book that comes with the set is very handy, it is informative and clear with handy little pictures to help you along - it is invaluable for the beginner. It explains the patterns in the tea and the markings on both the cup and saucer in a readable and clear to understand way. As to how accurate it has been, only time will tell but I look forward to finding out.
I’ve had so many requests from friends and family asking me to buy them the Cup of Destiny for Birthdays and Christmas! The Cup of......more5 out of 5 By Rebecca, South WalesReceived my Cup of Destiny today and I'm very pleased. I ordered a few things alongside it and it all came nicely packaged in a huge jiffy bag. The packaging for the cup itself is substantial and in a lovely presentation box so it would make the perfect gift. However I'm not that kind and bought it just for myself :) I have yet to use the cup for its actual purpose of reading tea leaves as it arrived this morning but the item itself is very beautiful looking and well made and it looks rather fetching on display! Would certainly recommend it for aesthetic purposes, and I'm sure it'll do just the job for reading tea leaves too!
