This is a darker quality aquamarine. Some aquamarines can look a bit washed out, but this one is a definite blue. It does cost a little more than the regular aquamarine, but in general at Holisticshop we would rather stock the nicer quality.
The tumble polish is good. As is the nature of aquamarine, you will find minor lines on the surface, but that is natural.

Aquamarine gets it name from the latin "water of the sea," as its colour resembles the blue of the sea. It's from the beryl family of stones. Legend has it that aquamarine is the treasure of mermaids and has the power to keep sailors safe at sea.
