Lisa Jane grew up in the small South Texas town of Portland where she began taking pictures in high school. She went on to study photography at Sam Houston Sate University in Huntsville. When she'd completed her Bachelor of Arts degree her father offered her a choice of graduation presents: an African safari vacation or a Hasselblad camera. She took the camera and never looked back.
For over 20 years, Lisa Jane's creative talent, technical skill, distinctive style and special ability to connect with her young subjects have earned her virtually every major credit, certification and honor in the field of professional photography. She is a frequent traveller, sharing her talents in portraiture seminars throughout the USA. When she isn't on the road, Lisa lives and works in Houston, where her studio is located on three wooded acres in the heart of the city - "my own enchanted garden," in the artists words.
