Review(s) for Crystal Therapy

Review posted by Louise Green View Profile

A crystal angel in shades of amethyst and lavender adorns the cover, her hands holding a bright crystal light. She graces the inside cover, appearing above each chapter heading. The pages are a soft gloss with the print in the same amethyst colour, carrying the theme throughout the book which gave a co-ordinated feel to it. The book is small enough in size and could fit into a handbag, if you were out shopping for crystals, but it felt quite heavy. The initial chapters explain that crystals have a kinship with us, as both they and we are earth dwelling. Each crystal has its own unique spirit and this spirit seeks to assist us in all aspects of our lives, whether it be emotional, spiritual or on the material plain. The authors explain how to purchase the crystals we need, not so much as by looking at them but by feeling their energy reaching out to us. I enjoyed the chapters on the angels which correspondence to the differing crystals types, also how quartz can have different roles, such as record keeping or channelling. The crystal directory has colour photos of crystals in their natural state along with their healing qualities, the message they bring, also the angels which are associated with them. I was able to name the crystals I have from the directory, as I must admit to having forgotten which type mine were! The book shows us how we can harness the crystals' power using 'power grids' to work towards an intention, such as harmony, peace or love. I haven't set up a power grid to try as the examples call for a lot of crystals, e.g. 'Creativity' calls for seven quartz points and eleven pieces of carnelian. The chapters on the various crystal charts were a handy source of reference and their relationships to sun signs, chakras, or gentle healing. I think I would return to this part of the book more so than the section on the power grids.

I think experienced crystal keepers might know a lot of the knowledge in this book already, but it's ideal for a beginner like me, also it is beautifully produced, it's colourful, uplifting with empowering messages from the elemental and angelic kingdoms. I shall treat my crystals with much more respect and they now seem more alive to me.
