They say: Curious about your destiny? Mahalaka has been designed to help you find the answer to any question you might have about your life. Focus on your question, draw a card and notice your feelings coming up. It is your insight into the meaning and significance of the cards themselves that allows you to understand your situation.

There are 72 cards, made up of 14 cards in each of 5 suits and 2 Jokers, Mahakala and Free Will. The suits are Spirit (Dragon), Love (Daisy), Sex (Yin Yang), Work (Bee) and Money (Buffalo Cow). The meaning of each card is found in your interpretation of the meaning of the information carried by the card's suit (e.g. Sex), the meaning of the icon (e.g. Yin Yang) and colour (red), the number it carries (e.g. 8 means change), the name of the card (Passion), quotation on the card ("The heart has its reasons which reason knows nothing of") and the form and colour of the illustration - as clearly explained in the accompanying booklet.

The cards can be used like any oracle, asking a question of using a specific spread as described in the booklet; or they can be used to actually play a game - like any board game, with a winner and a loser - but in the course of the game each player learns more about their destiny and that of their opponents.
