Review(s) for Golden Rider Tarot - CARDS

Review posted by Brett Almond View Profile

Pack information: 78 cards with tiny booklet
Card dimensions: 70 x 120 mm
Authors: A. E. Waite & Francois Tapernoux

They say: Newly inspired and actualized edition of the most famous Tarot deck. Original reproductions from oil-paint originals created by Francois Tapernoux.

Customer review by Faith Buck, Islington, London
The Golden Rider pack holds all the same imagery and design as the original Rider-Waite pack. It suits my tastes that the colours are more vibrant, and the overall feel is more modern. The colouring is more painterly, than print blocked. The designs are slightly simplified so although the symbolism in each image remains, the detail is missing in some areas (such as the
swirling waters in some of the Cups cards). The design on the reverse of the cards is pleasing, calm and regal looking. Every card has some gold printing which I feel adds a sense of preciousness to the cards!
