Review(s) for Crystal Healing (hardback)

Alongside the Crystal Bible by Judy Hall, Crystal Healing now ranks up there with my favourite crystal books. I found Crystal Healing simple to follow and understand. It is clearly illustrated, and I feel it would be a useful book for all levels of experience with crystals: from those who are new to using crystals, through to the crystal therapist. The book works with 12 master healer crystals which are: bloodstone, smoky quartz, red jasper, orange carnelian, yellow jasper, green aventurine, rose quartz, blue lace agate, sodalite, amethyst, clear quartz and labradorite.

Crystal Healing begins by explaining some of the theories of how crystals are thought to work with disease and the causes of disease. Concisely, it explains about cleansing your crystals, activating them, storing them and how to make gem elixirs. There is an explanation about grounding, then working with crystals and the chakras and aura. This leads up to a variety of layouts for various issues such as detoxification, general healing, concentration and memory, depression, forgiveness ritual, sexual recharge, intuition and relaxation. There is also a mandala layout for meditating upon. There follows sections on healing mental problems, emotional problems, stress relief, relaxation and insomnia. Crystals for protection and clearing are covered which includes an interesting ‘spleen protection pyramid’ layout, and there is information about protecting your home, enhancing the workspace, working with electronics and environmental stress. At the end of the book the 12 crystals and their properties are discussed, including effects on the body, healing influences, effects on the emotions, mind, spirit, and environment and using the crystal. At the very back of the book is a table indicating the use of crystals for specific ailments and which ones to use. This 128 page book is hard backed and as it is quite a small size it feels easy to carry around, pick up and browse through. Crystal Healing by Judy Hall, it has to be said, really is a gem of a book.
