Review(s) for CD: Past Life Regression

Review posted by Louise Green View Profile

I plumped up the cushions on the sofa and settled down comfortably; excited at the prospect of finding out who I might have been in the past. The CD began with ethereal music by Steven Halpern to set the mood. Doreen Virtue began to speak, her voice clear and steady and there followed an introduction to past life regression. Doreen explains how our past lives can affect the present and she gives examples from her own journeys, for example, why she doesn't use tools in her healing ministry. There is also mention of how past lives were accepted in various faiths such as the Bible's New Testament. I found this interesting but had to admit that I fidgeted through the introduction,(it lasts about twenty minutes), simply because I wanted to get to the good bit! At last, to the sound of celestial music, Doreen guides you into your past life regression. She takes you through a relaxation exercise, involving deeper breathing and your Angels are asked to gather around you for your journey, providing love and security throughout the session, which I found comforting. Once relaxed, your regression continues with Doreen guiding you further into it. (I won't spoil it for you by saying how it is done). The first time I followed it I didn't have much success, because I was eager and let my mind leap ahead. However, this was my own fault. I had more success the second time, as I was content to let myself be guided and I found Doreen's voice less of an intrusion. I was happily surprised at the result. I noted that after each session (the CD runs for an hour) I was tired and could have slept for a week.

This is a wonderful CD for relaxation and meditation and Doreen Virtue's voice does lull you into allowing your mind to release images and feelings which I believe are from the past, but I don't think I would play the CD often, as its an easy technique to remember and I have since tried it on my own with equal success.
