Dryad tree Definition and Dryad tree Products

Dryad tree - Tree lore, nature spirit, nymph
This tree gets its name from tree lore as being the home of a dryad - a wood nymph or spirit who lives in a tree. Each dryad is specifically linked to one tree and, when the tree eventually dies, the dryad is believed to die too.

Ancient myths describe dryads as shy creatures who flee from the sight of human beings. They're said to be shadowy creatures that hop and fly in the trees, heard like the rustle of leaves in the wind.

Dryads and dryad trees have featured extensively in myths, folklore and fiction. Author C. S. Lewis mentioned dryads in his books about the land of Narnia and Hans Christian Anderson wrote a fairy tale about a dryad who lived in a chestnut tree.

Wearing the symbol of the dryad tree represents a connection with nature, spirits and a love of trees.
