I have to say that I found the book very interesting and it has started me working towards gaining a real understanding of the differences in the way Men and Women approach, conduct and handle relationships. Before reading this book I had thought that I had a pretty good understanding of men, however, what I didn't understand was just how differently many phrases are heard by the different sexes. How what is said is not often what is actually heard by the other party. I now understand why 'Martians' need to have space and realise that 'Venusians' need to share with others in order to be happy. Taking on board the theories explained in this book, I now feel it is possible to have a better understanding of how I interact with the opposite sex. Realising that much of what I say and do is not heard or understood in the same way by my partner and learning ways in which I can change my approach in order to get my desired message understood. Over the coming weeks and months, I intend to put some of the ideas to use and thereby judge how well the suggestions and guidance in the book work in my own relationships.
