Tarot Cards (62) -
The Tarot is a specific system that has 78 cards in total. There are 4 suits (referred to as the minor arcana) and 22 other cards (referred to as the major arcana). Each card represents a specific energy. And each card, through the picture on the card, is trying to help you to feel the specific energy of that card. Eileen Connolly is one of the better-known experts in the world of Tarot today, teaching worldwide and writing books. This deck was conceived by her and painted by her son, who over 18 months produced these precise paintings with bold and bright colours. Some of the more 'negative' cards have been changed. The 'Devil' is now 'Materialism' and 'Death' is now 'Transition'. These cards are graphic and rich. It is a delight for someone who uses a different deck to see how the new and different ways the archetypal energies of each card have been represented. Beautifully painted.

A beautiful deck, which doesn't contain a 'Death Card'. The cards were drawn from the inspiration of stained glass and are on good, thick serviceable card with beautifully marbled backs. They really feel substantial and next to the Rider Waite I would say that these are an excellent deck for beginners and adepts alike.

I have only had the cards a few days and already I am able to read spreads accurately - mainly intuitively, although I sometimes still refer to the little booklet for reassurance that I am on the right track. The cards are of good quality and the pictures and colours are beautiful and bright. I like the idea that these cards do not have The Devil or Death and I am beginning to get used to thinking of Materialism and Transition instead. I would recommend these cards to anyone who is starting out - as I am.
