They say: Is vegetarianism the right path for you? This book will give you all the information you need to make that very personal decision for yourself. Doreen Virtue and Becky Prelitz show you that it isn't just the fat or carbohydrate content that counts when making dietary choices - it's the "spiritual vibrational" quality of what you eat that truly makes a difference in how you look and feel.

In this fascinating guide you'll learn how vegetarianism can elevate your energy, help you become more psychic, and enhance your spiritual growth. You'll also read practical and nutritionally sound tips on how to:

  • ensure you get adequate protein;

  • eliminate or reduce your cravings for meat and dairy products;

  • cook vegetarian meals for yourself and your family;

  • deal with skeptical meat-eating friends and family members; and

  • eat vegetarian meals at restaurants and while travelling.

    This is a small pocket-sized book that is ideal for taking on a journey. It deals with everything you need to know to convert your lifestyle to a Vegetarian one. It deals with the philosophical arguments for making the change, the spiritual significance of what and how you eat, and the challenges to a vegetarian lifestyle in the modern world. It is not just a theoretical manual, however. It is a practical one also. It offers a number of diagrams and charts to explain what food actually does, how it nourishes the body and feeds the spirit. There are explanations of the work of proteins and nutrients and how one can make the best of what the natural world has to offer.

    There is also a brief chapter on the cost of meat eating to the planet and it is something of a shocker. There are also useful resources included and a handy bibliography for those who wish to take the subject further.

    It is a small book with a big challenge. For those who need to be convinced of the desirability of going vegetarian, this book is for them.
