Exploring Reincarnation
Review (last 5 for this product, read more)

By Susan Daniels View ProfileWhat a book. I can't think of an aspect of reincarnation that Hans TenDam hasn't covered in this very thorough, very detailed book. From the varying beliefs of different religions, to karma, to what might happen when you die and are reborn, TenDam seems to cover it all. I found 'Exploring Reincarnation' an enthralling read as it quite successfully explores the many diverse aspects of this subject, mainly by examining the work of other researchers i.e. Ian Stevenson. A couple of points I would make however is the large amount of further reading references quoted in the text which can be a little distracting, and also that the first few chapters are a little heavy going and perhaps a tad studious. However, once I'd read past chapter four I found myself warming to the author, who even managed to raise the odd smile with some of his dryer observations (especially in chapter 8 which explores unfounded beliefs in reincarnation).
With so much in-depth information and so many varying beliefs being written about here, its difficult not to let some of it play on your mind, for example the effects of karma. Still, I guess it would be a rare occurrence to agree with everything and not have a few reservations in such an enigmatic subject. It's not so much a practical guide, though there are many case histories and examples noted along the way, but if you're looking for a complete guide to virtually all the issues relating to reincarnation then I can thoroughly recommend it.
