Sacred Space
Review (last 5 for this product, read more)

By Brett Almond View ProfileThe thing I like about this book is that it doesn't pretend that putting such and such in the corner is all you need. It has a connection to ceremony, which essentially is about using our focus to improve our lot. Creating sacred space is about using our intention and focus. Some of the energy comes from the object, but in reality it is you as a person, and your connection with that object, that brings it to life.
This book reminds us that everything is alive in its own way. And, sure, your house doesn't walk around, but it does have its own individual signature based on its location, the way it is decorated, the things you put in it, and what you do inside it. Simply speaking this book is a book of ideas on how to improve your home or office.
Denise Linn talks about how different wall colours can affect us, moving in ceremonies, ghost busting, using sound such as rattles, gongs, singing bowls, drums etc, the use of numerology, attracting fairies to your garden, candle meditation, welcoming the spirits of your home etc. Considering there are such a large number of subjects it holds together well. And the aspect that holds it together is that it is all dealt with from the angle of your own power and respect.
