This is a Feng Shui book on the next level, it is very in depth and very informative - a great book for anyone interested in Feng Shui. This book contains more than the normal 8-direction placement scheme of Feng Shui concentrating more on the astrological elements of Feng Shui. By working through this book you can apply Feng Shui to your home or office in a way that is tailor made for you. The one drawback with this book is the lack of illustrations, there are very simple charts and line drawings to explain the different points, but this book deserves more. Feng Shui step by step includes charts telling you which of the nine stars you were born under, depending on the month and year in which you were born. Simons describes the personality type of each star, the most suitable occupations, points to note regarding health and much more. Then he goes on to describe how your star combined with the direction that your front door faces can affect your fortune, and what can be done to improve it. I feel this book would be most beneficial for those into Feng Shui who have a family, as it goes into some detail about how you can harmonise all the different stars and personalities within the house.

The second part of the book is more the classic 8-direction scheme with the twist of being able to apply it more directly to you, using your lucky directions, colours, shapes and elements. This is made easier by there being a special section in the book for you to write in all the relevant data. All in all a fascinating read and a must-have for the Feng Shui enthusiast.
